Antique Cedar Chest
Last year for Christmas, I refinished an old antique cedar chest for my mother-in-law.
This was a family air loom of hers and she hadn't seen it for years. I really love my mother-in-law because..... I hardly EVER strip an entire piece to the raw wood.
It is SO MUCH WORK! Here is the before of the cedar chest.

I did multiple coats of the stripper and scraped, brushed & wiped away the old finish. This took A LOT of hours and was not fun at all! See all those details??? I thought I would never get it out of all the nook and crannies.
Here is what it looked like after it was down to the raw wood.
I stained it in a red mahogany to match the rest of my mother-in-law's bedroom set.
After hours of work over multiple days here is the finished product.

I wish I got better pictures of the finished chest. The lighting in the pictures isn't very good.
