We picked up this adorable French Provincial hutch and made a plan. It as a little bit smaller than the ones we have done in the past. We wanted it to be a sweet statement piece for a little girls room or a room with smaller ceilings.

We detached the back of the hutch and set it aside while we sprayed the piece. We first took off all the hardware and used Zinser spray primer to seal and prep the piece for paint. Then we sprayed the piece with Sherwim Williams paint in "WATERY". It is the perfect greenish blue vintage color. We always tape off the glass so the clean up is easier :) We sprayed on three coats.

Once the piece was completely dried, we took a 240 sanding block and distressed all the edges and surfaces. We did a medium amount of distressing. It made then entire piece come alive! Then we sealed the piece with semi -gloss POLYCRILIC and put the hardware back on. Oh mercy!!! LOVE!!!

We found this beautiful vintage floral fabric at HOBBY LOBBY. It was the perfect combo! we sprayed the backing with spray glue, lined up the fabric and pressed it onto the backing .We Cut around the edges and then nailed it to the back of the piece. It made it sooo charming! ooh la la.
We will definitely do more pieces like this in the near future. It melted our heart. Add fabric to drawer fronts of the back of a hutch! It's a fun way to mix things up a bit
